-A recent study concluded that in the information age, a practical understanding of systems is an invaluable tool to possess—perhaps more valuable than a college degree.
An independent study found that technical training programs are widely accepted by Fortune 500, Inc. 500 and technology firms.
The study, conducted by the Alexis de Tocqueville Institution (AdTI)a public policy think tankexamined the impact of the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) training program on employers and employees.
The group found that:
· Seventy-two percent of human resource managers and specialists are familiar with the program.
· Fifty-five percent of surveyed companies had MCSE's on their staff.
· Eighty-seven percent of human resource managers surveyed believed that MCSE's are equally or more successful than college students.
"Companies are educating and graduating their own class of engineers for the technology revolution," says AdTI research fellow Jeffrey Hogg. "The success of this program is more far reaching than we expected."
